Gallery # 9

Friday, March 28, 2008: The basketball courts are almost put back together. (They need to be ready for school next week.)

What a difference a day makes! A lot of pipe has been installed in the trenches.

This pile of asphalt will soon go away.

Once the gravel and pipes are installed, the dirt will fill in the trenches.

Once this dirt hill is gone, the ground will be very flat.

The old bleachers have been in the middle of the field for some time: soon they will be gone.

The wind is blowing the safety tape set up around this trench.

A curb will be installed almost flush against the fence.

A drain is marked with the vivid orange paint.

Near the Casa Italiana, a new drain has been installed.

A trench has been back-filled. The flag denotes a drain pipe.

This trench still needs some work. Notice the curb at the far left.

The photographer's hand gives some perspective to the width of this piece of pipe. It will be a distance from where the drainage goes out to the street.

The curb will most likely be extended down toward the end of the field.
Sure enough, this form will help in putting in a curb along this fence.

Note the two parallel pipes going towards the fence.

Note the pipe at the bottom of the trench almost flush against the retaining wall.

The pipe goes down past the ladder, along the fence.

This gravel will soon be in the trenches.

The old Weight Room barely demolished, and trences have been dug already.

This pile looks different from all the rest.

Another trench, another pipe.

A junction of conduit.

This trench of (?) electrical conduit seems to run almost the length of the field.

The worker walking in the trench shows just how deep the trench is.

This rebar will be installed soon.

These spools of wire will soon be installed.

These rebar forms look like they will hold up poles.

The new building from mid-field. Note the different sizes of pipe in the foreground.

This adapter will connect two sizes of pipe.

Notice these pipes have holes in them to allow for drainage.

This pile of rubble will soon be gone.

This pipe supplies work to the project.

The fence on the basketball court keeps these materials out of easy reach. Note how the trenches are paved over here.

The work on the street has progressed. Note the plates on the sidewalk at the right of this photo.

Five photos were stitched together to give this panoramic view of the new curb with the Casa Italiana's roof in the background.
