Wednesday, April 23, 2008: The track and field perfectly leveled, a tarp-like substance is on half of the field. There are also rolls of a kind of adhesive laid diagonally.
Note the soil is compacted on the far side of the field. The area between the track and the fence above the Annex has been paved. The bleachers are still on the field.
The fence curving around the track is being added to.
A foundation is being laid.
A concrete pole rises from the ground.
The half-circle beyond the endzone is being paved.
As the asphalt is laid, it is compacted for a level surface.

Workers lay down and level asphalt at the near corner just past the endzone.
Soon, the track will have an asphalt surface.
Rebar is laid between bricks for a stronger wall.
The fence posts will go a bit below the surface. Note, too, the rebar.
The rebar-reinforced holes mark the border between the basketball courts and the field.
The track is in the process of being paved.
The Downtown skyscrapers will provide a beautiful backdrop for our track and field.
