Weekly Plan # 11

 

Announcments: 

  1. Period 1 meets for a total of 180 minutes; Periods 3 & 7 meet for a total of 160 minutes.
  2. Be sure to have your Bible and textbook in class.  
  3. This Wednesday is College Visit Day... classes do not meet.
  4. Friday has a Monday schedule.
    The teacher is slated for Jury Duty this week... this Weekly Plan is subject to change.   The first sub assignment will require that students bring colored pencils, pens, or crayone to class every day the class meets.

Monday, October 25:  Monday Schedule - All Periods meet for 40 minutes.
Prayer:  Matthew 5:13-16 (p. 136 in the text.)
Activity:  Collect the assignment found on p. 120 (Reflection # 2 - 150 words)
Activity:  Singing Practice for next Monday's Mass of All Saints
Activity:  Lecture # 05:  Matthew's Gospel (if time allows)
Assignment:   Read pp. 136-145.  Take the online quiz # 09 on Moodle by Friday.
Assignment:  Bring colored pencils, pens, or crayons to class everyday this week.

Tuesday, October 26:  Block 1 - 50 minutes  -- Block 3- 80 minutes -- Block 7 - 80 minutes.
Prayer:  Luke 13:18-21

Alternate Assignment

If the teacher is on jury duty, the following assignment will be given:

Students are to complete "The New Testament Shield Project."  Directions will be given out on a handout provided by the substitute teacher. 

Activity:  Singing Practice for next Monday's Mass of All Saints
Activity:  Continue Lecture # 05
Periods 3 & 7 ONLY:  Activity / Assignment:  Answer three of the "Journal Questions" found on page 139.  Write at least 50 words for each question.  Due next class meeting.

Thursday, October 28:   Block 1 - 50 minutes  -- Blocks 3 & 7 do not meet.

Periods 3 & 7 ONLY -- Activity / Assignment:  Handout:  "Characters and Events of Matthew" (TM, p. 304)
Activity:  Singing Practice for next Monday's Mass
Activity / Assignment:  Handout:  "Living the Sermon on the Mount"
Assignment:  Read pp. 146 - 156.  Complete Quiz # 10 by Tuesday morning.
