Weekly Plan # 07

Announcments:  Period 1 meets for a total of 190 minutes; Periods 3 & 7 meet for a total of 160 minutes. Many students are not taking the Moodle quizzes:  these cannot be made up except for special reasons.  Quiz # 05 (online) will be online by Thursday afternoon -- it is now due before school on Tuesday, October 5.  On Friday, classes will not meet, so that teachers may attend an Archdiocesan in-service.

Monday, September 27:  Monday Schedule - All Periods meet for 40 minutes.
Prayer:  Reflection on Jesus as "The Light of the World," found on p. 82 of the text.
Activity:  Discuss how Jesus is a Messiah in the Old Testament Sense - How he is different than what First Century Jews expected in the coming messiah.

Tuesday, September 28:  Block 1 - 50 minutes  -- Block 3- 80 minutes -- Block 7 - 80 minutes.
Prayer:  Luke 9:51-56

Activity / Assignment:  In groups, design a "PowerPoint" type of presentation on pages 83-91 of the text.   (Hint: Start with an Outline!)
Activity / Assignment:  Finish the above assignment for homework.  See the teacher for extra credit... to finish a PowerPoint presentation for Thursday. 
Activity / Assignment - Periods 3 & 7 ONLY:  "Old Testament Search:  The Kingdom of God" (Chapter 3, Handout 1)

Wednesday, September 29:  Block 1 - 50 minutes  -- Blocks 3 & 7 do not meet.

Thursday, September 30:   Monday Schedule - 40 minute Classes for All Periods.
Prayer:  Next Sunday's Gospel Reading:  Luke 17:5-10
Activity:  Lecture 03a:  Mysteries of Christ's Life
Assignment:  Read pp. 91-101.  Complete Quiz # 06 by Tuesday.
